Advanced Polymer Monitoring Technologies, Inc. develops, manufactures and distributes products and services for the real time monitoring and control of polymer reactions across all synthetic and natural polymer sectors from R&D through high volume industrial production.

Our mission is to play an enabling role in the polymeric materials industry of the 21st century by developing new technology for monitoring and control of polymer reactions to reduce cost, improve quality and reduce the environmental footprint of the polymer industry.

APMT, Inc. was founded in 2012 as a spin-off from the Tulane University Center for Polymer Reaction Monitoring and Characterization (PolyRMC).

The Company is an innovative start-up providing customized online monitoring solutions for all types of polymer producers seeking to optimize their manufacturing processes and improve product quality. The basis for APMT's products and services are a portfolio of Tulane University patents which were invented by Professor Wayne F. Reed, Director of PolyRMC, and developed by Professor Reed and the other founders of APMT while at PolyRMC.

Company History

In March 2012, Advanced Polymer Monitoring Technologies, Inc. was founded by Professor Wayne F. Reed, Bill Bottoms, Michael F. Drenski and Alex W. Reed to commercialize Professor Reed’s patents, licensed through Tulane University.

Professor Wayne F. Reed began his research in the polymer field in 1985. Years of fundamental and applied research projects through collaborations with hundreds of researchers and millions of dollars in funding have resulted in the development of several novel polymer monitoring and characterization techniques and technologies.
