The MWRA is seeking a Communications & Controls Technician to participate in the development, installation, and maintenance of the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority's Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. The work includes exercising close supervision of technicians and support staff, repairing and servicing direct to line, time division multiplex channel banks, works with Telephone Companies and other vendors to achieve data line installations and repairs, and works with Human Machine Interface (HMI) screens, programmable logic and remote terminal units.
Salary: $96,901.52 annually
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm
This position as been designated as essential in instances where the MWRA Executive Director requires essential personal to work.

Requirements
This position requires an Associate’s Degree in Electronic Engineering or ISA Control Systems Technician Certification, one year of experience maintaining and servicing programmable logic controllers and/or other types of automated process control. Also requires an FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (or the ability to obtain license within six (6) months), a valid driver’s license and to complete confined space training within six months as well.
