Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Factory Automation Manufacturing Engineerfor the Harvester Seeding Group located in Moline, IL , you will, p rovidetechnical guidance, training, and development to engineers, support personnel and contractors as it relates to automation hardware and software tools. In addition, you will:

  • Leadin development and implementation of large and complex Factory Automation (FA) solutions, requiring a great depth of FA knowledge anda wide range of skill sets
  • Design and updateelectrical systems and prints for machines or shop floor tooling and equipment
  • Design and updateHuman Machine Interfaces (HMI) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programs for machines or shop floor systems

What Skills You Need

  • 7 or more years of experiencein an Engineering field (Electrical, Controls, Computer, etc.) where you performedmore complex functions, understoodprinciples, and may have taught others
  • 7 or moreyears of experiencewithPLC, PC, and Structured Query Language (SQL) programming and the engineering tools required where you performedmore complex functions, understoodprinciples, and taught others
  • 5 or moreyears of experience with electrical design and the codes, common practices, and engineering tools required where youperformed more complex functions, understoodprinciples, andtaught others
  • 3 or moreyears of experience deploying MES solutions(SAP-MES, AMES, JDAAT, etc.) mistake proofing of manufacturing processes, and supporting shop floor device connectivity

  • Experience in project management and working with teams
  • Experience with teaching new technical skills to others
  • Experience with Inductive automation software (Ignition) todevelop custom applications
  • Experience with OPC applications and servers
  • Experience working with databases
  • Experience with multiple communication protocols (Ethernet, EIP, Telnet, Serial, CAN, DeviceNet)


Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
  • Bachelors degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline
